In addition to our activities and contests at the McAfee booth, our team will also be covering the show on Facebook and Twitter, live-tweeting from FOCUS sessions and keynotes on @focusconference, @IntelSec_Biz & @IntelSecurity with the #McAfeeFOCUS hashtag, and posting photos and video on the FOCUS Conference Facebook page.
You can also follow comprehensive updates from FOCUS attendees on our three conference Twitter lists: FOCUS McAfee, featuring McAfee community members attending the show, FOCUS Partners, highlighting the many partners and sponsors who made this year’s show possible, and FOCUS Media, a Twitter roundup of bloggers and media personalities reporting from the event. We’ll be building these up going into the show, so if you would like to be added, just give us a ping on Twitter, and we’ll be happy to add you to the list.
Here’s a rundown of some of the exciting activities and live-tweeting sessions you can expect during FOCUS…
@focusconference #MFETrivia Twitter Giveaway
One of our most popular activities at FOCUS 2010 has returned for a second year – do you have what it takes to be a McAfee trivia master?
How to Play:
-During the show, follow the @focusconference handle on Twitter, and look out for trivia questions posted with the hashtag #MFEtrivia.
-#MFEtrivia questions will cover general show happenings, as well as highlights from key FOCUS sessions and events.
-If you think you know the answer to a #MFEtrivia question, @reply to @focusconference with your guess, making sure to tag your tweet with #MFEtrivia.
The first attendee to @reply with the correct answer wins the prize, and with the impressive prize lineup this year, #MFEtrivia is one event you definitely don’t want to miss:
-McAfee Titleist Golf Balls
-McAfee Stainless Steel H2O Bottles
–Canyon Ranch Gift Certificate for up to $175
–Valentino Dinner for up to $150
-2 pairs of tickets to see Blue Man Group (7pm and 10pm showings)
@McAfeeThePlace will be hosting flash Twitter contests each day of FOCUS, giving away a Samsung 46” LED Smart TV, a Jawbone Jambox speaker and an iPad2 each day. Requirements to win: you must be a McAfee customer registered for McAfee The Place, and you must have participated in The Place’s video project up on the 4th floor. After that, just look out for the contest on Twitter, and have fun!
Live-Tweeting Sessions on @focusconference
The McAfee team will be reporting live from many of this year’s FOCUS sessions and keynotes. Participate and follow during the sessions by searching for the session ID hashtag (via TweetChat, TweetDeck, or a Twitter client) to watch the real-time stream. If you’re an attendee at one of the sessions, feel free to chime in with your own thoughts and reactions, making sure to tag your tweets each time, so that they show up in the live stream.
