McAfee ESM named Leader in 2013 Gartner Magic Quadrant for SIEM

McAfee announced this week that our SIEM (security information and event management) offering has been positioned as a “Leader” in the 2013 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Security Information and Event Management. According to the report, Leaders provide “technology that is a good match to current customer requirements. Leaders also show evidence of superior vision and execution for anticipated requirements.” McAfee received high marks and positives for providing application and database context for SIEM and high event ingest rates and query speeds.

McAfee’s Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) leads the SIEM market in providing the critical combination of speed, intelligence and ease of management. The database behind McAfee ESM was built specifically to handle the high pressure data management needs a SIEM application demands, especially as the volumes of enterprise security data continue to grow and analytic needs become more complex. This unique advantage makes us confident that we will be a leader for years to come – as event volumes grow, the complexity of analytics increases, and security needs evolve. In addition, Security Connected, our mission to provide meaningful integrations between solutions for greater operational and security advantage, provides all McAfee customers with ever increasing benefits.
