Chris YoungChristopher Young is chief executive officer of McAfee. In this role, Young leads the company's security business across hardware and software platforms, generating revenue exceeding $3 billion. Young was previously the senior vice president and general manager of Intel Security Group.
Prior to joining McAfee, Young served as senior vice president at Cisco's Security Business Group. In this role, he was responsible for strategy, engineering, and product development for the company's global security business.
Before that, Young served as senior vice president and general manager at VMware, where he led engineering, product development, and marketing for desktop virtualization, consumer, and end-user offerings. He also served as senior vice president of products for RSA, the security division of EMC.
A recognized security expert, Young speaks regularly at industry events, such as the RSA Conference, InfoSec, and the Gartner IT Security Summit. He serves on the board of directors of Snap, Inc. Young has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America by Savoy magazine and was honored with an Achievement Award from the Black Engineer of the Year organization.
Young earned a bachelor's degree, cum laude, from Princeton University and an MBA with distinction from the Harvard Business School.
